I get it. I’ve been exactly where you are.
I grew up believing my greatest value in the world was to be as useful and productive as possible. That the only path to success was to check all the boxes and do everything society expects you do to.
Deep down I longed to own a business and have the freedom to live and work on my own terms., but the voice in my head told me it was way too risky to pursue, so I shoved it down and convinced myself it was for other people, not me.
I became an expert at doing everything I was “supposed” to
I landed the “dream” corporate job after university and worked my way up faster than most. I was working 12+ hours days, traveling on weekends for work and burning out… yet was constantly praised and rewarded for sacrificing my life for my work.
I was doing everything ‘right’ yet was miserable most days.
I quit without a backup plan.
I didn’t know what was next, but I knew I couldn’t go on like that. After some space to think and feel (for the first time in years) I took a leap into commercial real estate. I knew absolutely zero about the industry but I knew it was a path to the freedom and income I wanted, and I could figure the rest along the way.
Within a year, I was handling 1M in transactions.
From there I continued to grow my book of business and soon hit my first six figures.
During this time I fell in love with practicing hot yoga and impulsively signed up for the teacher training program that was starting in 2 days… I had no idea what to expect and it completely rocked my world.
Perhaps one of the most important lessons I learned was the value of investing in my personal growth. Teacher training was the catalyst to an 18 month deep-dive into self-actualization, manifestation, meditation, emotional healing, and rewiring my mindest.
As I grew exponentially, so did my business.
In 2018 I hit over $300,000 in revenue at the age of 28 while working (maybe) 35 hours a week.
I discovered for the first time that growing a business wasn’t about working harder, longer, and burning yourself out… it was about becoming a more powerful and effective version of yourself.
I was now convinced anything was possible!
During that time I became a certified Health Coach and started helping women transform their relationship with food and live bigger and bolder lives. I felt most alive and like myself when I was coaching. I took my coaching education deeper and quickly discovered what I truly felt called to do.
It was time to help women create a life & business they were excited about. To help them do work that lights them up and makes them money, without burning out in the process. To design their work around their life instead of the other way around.
